What is uphill skiing?
Uphill skiing is a great way for die-hard skiers to experience parts of the mountain that you would otherwise miss. It gives you the chance to go higher and experience trails and lanes that aren’t available through a traditional chair lift.

How to do it
Also known as alpine touring or skinning, uphill skiing is made possible with special equipment. Place sticky coverings on the bottom of your skis to give you grip as you climb, or wear special boots.

Resorts are getting ready
Resorts like Aspen, Crested Butte, Beaver Creek, Monarch and Eldora in Colorado are prepared to give vacationers epic opportunities to experience this new skiing trend.

If you want to take the new trend even further, make the experience even more memorable by doing it at night.
