It’s not widely known that Snowshoe Mountain Resort is open year round. There are plenty of things to do in the off-season, with a choice of activities like golfing, mountain biking, geocache hunts, Segway tours, paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, fishing, ziplining, and many more options.

However, Snowshoe Mountain is a ski resort, and winter is its best time. With the season averaging 130 days each year, and receiving about 180 inches of natural snowfall, it provides even more fun during the colder months. In addition to skiing, Snowshoe Mountain offers tubing, and off-road adventure tours in RZRs, snowmobiles, snowcats and more. After an adrenaline fix down the mountain, the spa is a perfect way to not only warm up from the slopes, but also a great way to pamper yourself during your trip.

Although Snowshoe is smaller and more laid back than your typical Intrawest resort, it provides a variety of options in a resort that’s easy to navigate – 60 ski runs, scattered over 250 skiable acres served by 14 chairlift are capable of transporting 23,400 skiers per hour. The longest run cruises for a mile and a half and drops you back at the base camp.

While you’re there, you can take a tour of the mountain in a heated Polaris RZR. This off-road track vehicle will offer views that few people get to see. Snowmobile tours are also a popular way to see the mountain, or do something a little different and tour the slopes on a snowcat. The Coca-Cola Tube Park has a six-story, eight lane tubing hill where you can slide across the snow in a giant red inner tube. There are unbelievable photo opportunities and children three and under ride free (this may change so check their website for restrictions).

The Big Top offers safe, fun indoor play for children with Wii, a climbing wall, inflatables, Eurobungy, a snack bar, live entertainment, arts and crafts, and family-safe movies.

The big question of the day is what’s there to eat? There are many dining options to satisfy your palette: The Junction Restaurant & Saloon, Starbuck’s, Foxfire Grille, Cheat Mountain Pizza, Misty’s Sports Bar, Wildcat Provisions & Deli, Sunset Cantina, and more.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort has over a thousand hotel and condominium units. Whatever your taste or budget, you can find something guaranteed to delight you.

Nearly half a million skiers visit Snowshoe Mountain each year. You should be one of them!
