Park City Mountain has diligently made improvements to enhance their guests experience at this popular skiing destination. Vail Resorts began their transformation by investing $50 million to connect Park City Mountain and the former Canyons Resorts. The result; Park City is the largest ski resort in the USA.
Over the last three years, they’ve continued to experience explosive growth. This upcoming season, guests will enjoy exciting new updates. “There is a lot to look forward to at Park City Mountain this season! New for 2018-19, we will open High Meadow Park, a dedicated learning area designed exclusively for beginner skiers and snowboarders to develop their skills. We are also enhancing the dining experience at the resort with renovations at Mid Mountain Lodge and Cloud Dine, two of our popular on-mountain restaurants. With over 7,300 acres of terrain to explore, 41 lifts, 16 unique on-mountain restaurants and ski-in-ski-out access to historic Main Street, the experiences are endless at Park City Mountain.” – Jessica Miller, Senior Communications Specialist at Park City Mountain.
The High Meadow Family Fun Zone at Canyons Village will offer guests a dedicated learning area. Everyone will also have a chance to enjoy the newly installed four-passenger lift. It will cut ride times by 70%, servicing a far larger number of people. This means shorter lines, a less bumpy ride and shorter rides through the chilly air!
Younger and less experienced guests will have the opportunity to learn the ropes quickly with their families by their sides. The terrain offers both skiers and snowboarders the chance to hone their skills in a fun and safe environment. To literally add a cherry on top, a “Candy Cabin” will be accessible to guests within the Family Fun Zone. Kiddos and adults alike can hit their sweet tooth before hitting the gentle slopes.
For long-time skiers, the updates being made to the Mid-Mountain Lodge will be a welcomed sight. The 120-plus-years-old building will be renovated to provide a new luxurious dining experience. It will feature a high-quality menu and full-service bar.
Cloud Dine will also see an additional 200 seats added to the dining area. This will allow more guests to stop in for a little fuel in-between their mountain adventures. With 16 dining options overall, guests won’t ever run out of options for delicious meals! If you weren’t already impressed with what they had to offer, then the renovations on the Lodge and Cloud Dine are going sweep you off your feet.
Park City prides themselves on providing amazing trails, activities and dining experiences for guests to enjoy every winter. Out of the 348 trails, Park City grooms about 120 of them regularly, smoothing out the snowpack for an unparalleled skiing experience. They’ve upped their snow game by adding an expansive snowmaking system. This improvement will help maintain skiable surfaces for beginner skiers and snowboards. The resort can open their Red Pine Road Trail (near Tombstone Lift) earlier in the season as well! Those who are eager to ride with fewer crowds will be doing everything they can to make it to the slopes.
As the largest ski resort in the U.S. Park City Mountain not only offers amazing views and skiing opportunities; they provide great deals for guests so everyone can get the best prices on what’s important. Though it’s already October, there’s still time to grab an Epic Pass, Park City Youth Pass, or one of the short-term day passes if you aren’t able to ride throughout the season.
