Buying ski clothes can be an expensive investment, especially if you only go up a few times a year, or if you have children that outgrow their clothes faster than you can keep up with. Or, what if much like the skis and snowboards you demo, you’d like to try some ski clothes before you buy?
Mountain Threads in Colorado is one of the few companies that can help. They provide complete ski and snowboard outfits to rent for much less than it would cost to buy. For less than $30 a day, you can rent complete outfits that include a high performance jacket, pant, goggles, gloves and a helmet. They also have neck gaiters and other protective gear from just $5 an item.
How to rent your ski and snowboard clothes
Renting ski clothes from Mountain Threads is easy from their website. The gear is high quality and comes in a variety of sizes for men, women, and children of all ages. Select the ski and snowboard clothes from their broad inventory of jackets, pants, gloves, goggles, helmets and other accessories. Once you have selected the clothing you need, choose pick up or delivery. Mountain Threads offers free pick-up and drop off from their store on I-70 near Denver, which is the main route to many of Colorado’s ski areas. If you want to save money, choose this method and choose free pick-up and/or drop-off during checkout.
For about $30, they’ll deliver directly to your vacation lodging in Colorado, and the fee includes pick up. You can save half the delivery fee by placing your order five days in advance. If you’re skiing outside of Colorado, they’ll arrange shipping to any North American location but plan around standard shipping times and you’ll have to cover the cost of shipping.
