To make family skiing and riding more accessible to all BC residents, 30 ski resorts in Canada’s British Columbia are offering half price skiing and riding on BC Family Day on February 8. This will be the fourth year in a row that the participating ski areas are partnering with Canada West Ski Areas Association (CWSAA) in order to provide this awesome opportunity to all British Columbians.

This year, 30 ski areas will offer skiers and snowboarders half off regular lift ticket and trail pass window prices on BC Family Day. The discounts cover downhill skiing and riding within 23 alpine ski areas, and cross-country skiing within six nordic ski areas. Some of the resorts have extended discounts to other activities and services, so there are lots of savings to be had on this special day.

Over the last three years, BC Family Day has successfully provided many skiers and riders of all ability levels with an affordable opportunity to try and enjoy snow sports with the entire clan. If you’re a BC resident who has never tried the sport, this would be a good year to gear the family out for a fun day of learning together while saving yourself a ton of money.

In order to get the most out of your ski day with your group, the best way to plan your visit is to first visit the Canada West Ski Areas Association’s website, or the ski resort websites for program details and purchase your lift tickets. After you do, don’t forget to cruise SkierDeals.com for additional savings on everything from lodging to rentals at participating resorts that include Panorama Mountain Village, Sun Peaks Resort and Whistler Blackcomb. Together with the half-price savings on Family Ski Day, you and your loved ones are sure to enjoy a fun-filled winter play day without the full price expense.
