For the last decade, the Epic Pass has positively altered the way skiers and snowboarders accessed resorts across the globe. Before it became a reality, people would pay quite a bit for just ONE mountain. Now, there are more possibilities to where you can ski while also saving you money on your ski vacation.
The pass has revolutionized the way that skiers of all skills and levels can enjoy. It’s made it easier to also enjoy resorts near home and allow for travel and free skiing in another country or region. And it’s also provided pass holders to receive incredible perks and benefits that make the price even more worthwhile.
The PEAKS Rewards, for example, is a great feature of the pass that gives back quite a bit. It’s got some great rewards and help put more money back in your wallet at the end of the day. Let’s take a deeper look at how this particular benefits you and why so many people enjoy it so much!
What Is PEAKS Rewards?
This benefit immediately becomes active when you purchase the “full” Epic Pass. It’s a free membership program for guests at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood resorts.
Everything you purchase during your vacation will rack up points, from rentals to food and drink and more. Once you get to a certain amount, you can redeem those points and use them to snag things like free lift tickets, and ski school lessons for both adults and children. Your points also work for these resorts open during the summer months where you can redeem free gondola rides, mountain bike rentals and more!
What Else Do I Get From The Membership?
Lift tickets are something you’re always going to have to purchase when visiting any resort. But with PEAKS Rewards you don’t have to pay full price to enjoy multiple days on the slopes. You and your family can enjoy discounted tickets during the season to save greater on your vacation overall. You’ll also get to skip ticket windows and go straight to the lift. Less waiting around and more time finding powder stashes? That’s a pretty good deal, to say the least!
If you’re interested in having a few more lift privileges, you can add a Direct-to-Lift option as well. This benefit of the membership means you are covered if you decide to ski additional days beyond what you initially purchased. Or if you don’t pre-purchase lift tickets for your next vacation it will apply for that situation as well. Your card will be charged the daily lift ticket price determined by the time you access the mountain: Full Day Rate (9 am), Afternoon Rate (Noon) or Late Afternoon Rate (2 pm).
At the same time that you’re earning points, you’ll have the opportunity to redeem them year round. And if you’re planning on staying at a resort for more than just the weekend, this is an excellent program to be a part of. You can maximize your dollars and allocate them for other wintery fun!
You’ll also be able to use Resort Charge during your visit to these resorts. Guests can use their membership card to charge purchases by linking a credit card to your PEAKS card. Leave the cash and cards at home to make your ski trip even more convenient.
