Vail Resorts Adds Lift Line Wait Times to EpicMix App
Vail Resorts will soon be releasing EpicMixTime, an expansion of its EpicMix ski and snowboard App. The App will provide skiers with real-time lift and gondola line wait times so that guests will be able to make the most out of their time at Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone and Beaver Creek.
EpicMix Time will give accurate chairlift and gondola line wait times for 55 chairs in Colorado that span the four resorts. The tech works much like Google Maps and Waze, which uses GPS data from mobile devices to report line flow based on user movement.
The App will only be available in Colorado this season, and will soon expand to Vail’s many other destinations. Vail Resort is currently testing the new tech at Perisher Resort in Australia, which is in the midst of its ski season. An update to the App is planned that will also provide on-mountain restaurant and rental shop wait times in addition to lift line wait times.
