• First, search lift tickets deal sites like ours for online deals on lift tickets that are up to 40% off the walk-up window prices. Sometimes you’ll even find bundles that include extra items such as dining, for additional value. Some of the package deals are pre-negotiated for great rates. They aren’t transferable and you must pay for them when booking, which means you can’t cancel at the last-minute.

• Check with the resort you want to visit to see what type of guarantees they offer. Sometimes they’ll beat the prices on other websites as long as you buy your tickets ahead of time. At other times, you’ll find that they run their own promotions, which are a better deal than what you’d find elsewhere.

• Always buy your ski lift tickets early because the further in advance you buy them, the better deal you’ll receive.  You’ll typically save 33% when buying your tickets 14 days in advance.

• Buy a multi-day ski pass as they usually offer better savings. For added value, choose to buy such passes for use during the middle of the week. Off-peak days and times usually afford you inexpensive prices as resorts wish to attract more visitors during those times.

• Check with your local big discount store (e.g. Costco) as most of them offer discount tickets to various places, including ski resorts. If you plan a last-minute trip to a ski resort that isn’t close to home, you’ll need to check out a big discount store near the resort itself.

Don’t forget, multi-resort passes like the Mountain Collective and The Epic Pass may also provide just what you need for a lift ticket that doesn’t break the bank. It all depends on what your shussing plans may be!
