The snow skiing and riding at Camelback Mountain, alone, is stellar, attracting more than 1 M visitors a year. And with more than 160 acre expanse, serviced by 16 lifts accessing 34 or so diverse trails, the mountain is an excellent environment to learn how to enjoy the sport. There are gentle and intermediate runs for a beginner, and expert trails for a thrilling challenge to advanced riders. Conditions are excellent as the mountain receives massive dumps of natural snow which is expertly groomed throughout the season, and Cambelback’s snowmaking capacity covers 100% of their terrain regardless of what nature may bring.

The ski day can span 14.5 hours into the night , starting as early as 7:30 AM and going as late as 10 PM, with every trail capable of being lit for night skiing, riding and tubing. Camelback’s two terrain parks and half-pipes – also lit – offer progressive features, and are the place for East Coast rippers and freestylers, or riders just learning the sport.

Both the large snow-tubing park and mountain coasters at Camelback offer alternatives or supplements to skiing, especially for a longer stay. At 42 lanes, Camelback boasts the biggest tubing hill in the United States. Guests can ride one or two to a tube, and with two magic carpets servicing the area, lapping the hill provides hours of fun. Just as thrilling is a trip down Camelback Mountain on its 4500-foot steel-track coaster. Dipping through the trees at high speeds requires no prior experience or skill, so it’s a good option for an activity that your entire group could do together.

Then there’s the newly constructed 125,000 square-foot Aquatopia water park inside the Camelback Lodge. Kept at 84-degrees year-round and covered by a transparent roof, the water park provides an island oasis après like none other, a fun diversion after a day of skiing and riding, and a popular family activity. Parents can relax in cabanas while the kids have their day in the massive pool.

With excellent skiing, tubing, riding all day long and most of the night, you won’t be disappointed by spending your entire winter break at Camelback. Regardless of whether you ski, ride or neither, you and your crew certainly won’t run out of things to do.
