Enjoy Spring Break Events and Tremendous Spring Skiing at Breckenridge

After a long winter are you feeling the itch of Spring Fever? In Summit County, the mountains are especially beautiful with a canvas of color as the days become longer, the sun shines a little brighter and the season begins to change. With lodging discounts and four fun packed weeks of Breckenridge Spring Skiing, spring might be just the time to plan to visit the area.

Spring events on the slopes at Breckenridge Ski Resort continue into April, including the “Mtn Dew Spring Open” freestyle event on April 1st, the famed “Imperial Challenge” winter triathlon event on April 22nd and “Spring Fever Park Jam” on April 7, 14 & 21 to name a few.

Though the area attracts many for the world-class skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone and Copper Mountain, there is always something fun and exciting for non-skiers to enjoy as well. During spring break the events start on March 22nd, with an almost week-long festival called “Breck Pride.” This festival features music and comedy events throughout the week. Beginning in April, Main Street Merchants will offer spring discounts to shoppers and several popular events are scheduled including the annual “Breck Chili Cookoff” on April 2nd and the 11th annual “Breckenridge Spring Fever Beer Festival” on April 8th. The beer festival continues to grow in size and popularity. This year the event held in downtown Breckenridge will feature over 35 breweries, live music, delicious food and much more.

Breckenridge visitors can enjoy a special treat on Easter Sunday. A fast ride up the Quicksilver Super Chair on Easter Sunday offers a wonderful vantage point to enjoy the colorful glow of the springtime sunrise on the surrounding peaks during a slopeside Easter Sunday service at Tenmile Station on Peak 9. For the littler ones, the Easter Bunny will make a special visit to both Peaks 8 and 9 to scatter eggs for a slopeside Easter egg hunt.
