Find midwest skiing at its best. Afton Alps is a premier winter resort located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley outside of the Minneapolis / St. Paul area in Minnesota. Featuring 48 trails, 5 terrain parks and 8 chairlifts on its 300 skiable acres, this sprawling resort underwent major renovations in 2013. The $10 million dollar overhaul included a powerful new snowmaking system and cutting edge terrain park as well as upgrading the base area facilities for the guests.

Lodging Options Galore
St. Croix River Valley offers many lodging choices all with easy access to the slopes. Afton House Inn is the closest and all their rooms are fireplace Jacuzzi suites! Some suites are even outfitted with private balconies. There are three restaurants on site including the Afton House Inn Fine Dining and the Swirl Wine Bar.
Stillwater, Minnesota is worth the short drive to this quaint historic town. Known as the birthplace of Minnesota, Stillwater is a charming river town with a lot to offer. There are hotels, historic inns and several B&B’s, alongside restaurants, art galleries, spas and boutiques.

Accessible and affordable, Afton Alps large recreation area is loaded with outdoor fun for all seasons. Great options for things to do without snow makes this a great year-round resort destination.
• The Mountain Bike Trail: Blue to black difficulty on trails for mountain bike enthusiasts, and newbies alike.
• Afton Alps Golf Course: Afton Alps beautiful 18 hole golf course features scenic views of the St. Croix River Valley. The abundance of breathtaking scenery and wildlife turns your time on the green into something much more valuable.
• Frisbee Golf: The disc golf course is within the comfort of clubhouse amenities. Sponsored by Vibram, this championship caliber course also provides stunning hilltop views within the two 9-hole loops.
• Foot Golf: Like regular golf, players kick off from a tee box. The goal is to get a soccer ball into a 21-inch diameter cup in the least amount of kicks. The cups are marked with orange flags and are set off to the side of the regular greens.
