Okemo Resort in Vermont has been serving skiers for 25 years, and will be opening for the 2009/2010 season on Saturday, December 5th. The mountain has snowmakers at the ready, and early season lift tickets available at special prices. On Sunday, 12/13, the Okemo Mountain Resort hosts the Cares and Shares Food Drive. Guests who bring a child’s toy or item or clothing, or 3 or more non-perishable food items, get a special thank-you gift. Guests who bring these items to the Clock Tower Base Area can ski and ride the whole day for the special discount price of $25.
Discount season passes are available, but first timers can benefit from the Ski Free at Okemo promotion, which allows skiers to ski free for an hour on their day of arrival, mid-week, before purchasing an extended lift ticket. Guests who buy a 3-day (or longer) lift ticket or lift and lodging package can use the ticket at Okemo as well as Mount Sunapee Resort and Stratton Mountain. Okemo Mountain Resort also offers half-day tickets at reduced prices and discounted military tickets.
During January of 2010, military veterans, as well as ambulance, fire and police personnel get 50% off lift tickets. The Monday Morning Quarterback promotion offers skiers the chance to ski or ride for $1 per point on one day, Feb 8th only. The rate of the lift tickets will equal the total score of the two Superbowl teams, but won’t go above $59 no matter what the score of the game.
