Oregon

Oregon is a beautiful state with nine resorts, including Mt. Hood and world-class Mt. Bachelor. Locals and visitors have it lucky with some of the lowest lift ticket prices in the country. In addition, with some of the highest elevated peaks in the Northwest, Mt. Hood and Mt. Bacehlor receive loads of Oregon powder each ski season.

What Makes Oregon Unique

Bachelor’s "Northwest" chair has the 2,365 vertical feet, the second longest vertical run for a chairlift in all of North America. The ski slopes are incredible, the grooming teams superb. Oregon’s mountain resorts offer Olympic-class snowboarding terrain, including super-tubes that will have you catching air and pulling off tricks you’d never have thought possible before. This same super-mountain even offers sledding, tubing, snowshoeing, dog-sledding, and a number of indoor activities for your non-skiing family and friends. The resort is part of the Deschutes National Forest and maintains a level of excellence in environmental conservation. Amazingly, this is a wind-generated resort. That’s keeping 4,062 pounds of CO2 out of the atmosphere—as if they did not use 413,115 gallons of gasoline.

Major Ski Resorts

Mt. Hood is just south of the Washington border. Mt. Hood Meadows has 2,777 vertical feet. With 2,150 acres, you’re not likely to run out of things to do any time soon. How about the family and ecologically friendly Mount Ashland? They’re running an all Green mountain now, and having an awesome time doing it!  Whether you’re coming from Seattle, Portland, Salem or Eugene, you’ll find the central mountains of Oregon are easy to get to. The hard part is leaving!
