The state of Connecticut is home to beautiful eastern mountains like the Berkshires and the Taconic Mountains as well as some of the most picturesque wooded areas and stunning lakes in the Northeast.

What Makes Connecticut Unique

Connecticut’s ski areas are mainly located amidst peaceful and serene beauty far from the hustle and bustle of the tri-state area. This is a great place to take the family or a group of friends skiing and riding. There are several ski areas scattered throughout the state. The resorts boast extensive snowmaking capabilities, fantastic snowtubing hills, and plenty of fun for everyone. Their convenient location makes them easily accessible for a day, weekend or even longer.

Major Ski Resorts

Mount Southington offers a great variety of trails for all skill levels. Woodbury is home to the largest tubing park in Connecticut and is often the first to open for the season. Mohawk Mountain has tons of great activities throughout the winter and is a long time family favorite. These mountains offer fun, excitement, and thrills. These ski areas also offer other activities from shopping and entertainment, to ice skating, sledding, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Whatever the taste or preference Connecticut has it. Its proximity to major metropolitan centers means that guests can spend the day on the slopes and the evening under the bright lights of New York City.
