Ski Levels

And it's a family friendly resort right down to the wide trails to accommodate whole groups of people skiing down the mountainside.

Après Ski

The Mount Snow Valley area has a huge variety of restaurants, pubs and other eateries to choose from. But there are also a huge variety of choices if you stay on the mountain, from the several base area restaurants and lounges to top of the mountain dining. Ski and sporting good shops, antique stores, groceries, souvenirs, and even furniture shops make up some of the shopping experience at Mount Snow.

Local attractions include wineries, historical societies, centers for the arts and a natural history museum that's perfect for families. Petting zoos, farms and children's museums are all within a short distance of Mount Snow. Stay at the mountain for a maple sugaring tour and a petting farm. There are food and music festivals, music, theater, and even art galleries to enjoy in or near Mount Snow.

A bar & grill at the main base lodge is one option for après-ski, where grill fare and a variety of liquors, beers and cocktails are available. Live music is available some weekends, and the grill offers a stunning view of the mountains. There's also a café for those who prefer hot beverages like lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, as well as teas and traditional coffee. And for family nighttime gatherings, the Timber House offers family fare and entertainment.

Rider’s Guide

Mount Snow boasts 80 trails offering a full 37 miles of fun, and 588 skiable acres. The vertical drop is 1700 feet, and 20 lifts run at a capacity of over 30,000 people per hour. There are 3 high speed quad lifts, 3 triples, 4 double and a rope tow. The mountain gets 156 inches of snowfall on average. Most of the trails are intermediate with about 14% at a beginner level, and about the same amount at an advanced level.

Parks and Pipes

There are 12 terrain parks at Mount Snow, a mini-pipe and a superpipe. Almost 5 miles of the Carinthia Mountain face makes up a freestyle terrain park with a learning park, skate ramp and snowskate playground. Halfpipes, jumps, mailboxes, tables, roller coaster rails, flat rails and a variety of boxes and rails fill the parks. One of the terrain parks is all natural, free of anything man-made. And a superpipe with walls reaching 18-feet is available for those who are daring enough.

Out of Bounds

Snowmobiling, snowshoeing and a tubing park are great activities to enjoy at Mount Snow. Sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, candlepin bowling and more activities mean you don’t even have to leave Mount Snow to enjoy other activities beside downhill skiing and snowboarding.

Hangout & Hookup

A bar and grill at the main lodge is a great place for après-ski. There’s live music and typical grill fare like burgers, salads and wraps, and a perfect view of the slopes. There’s a café-style hangout with a variety of hot coffees and other beverages available, as well as snacks and a breakfast and lunch menu. Located next to the Main Base Lodge is great place for family gatherings and relaxing after a day on the slopes. Other bars and lounges right at the base are available for everything from a cocktail to full nighttime activities.

The Deal

For those who don’t want to drive to Mount Snow, the MOOver is a free shuttle that runs between West Dover and Wilmington. Driving from Rhode Island, New York or Boston, getting on I-91 to Wilmington and then riding the MOOver makes for a stress free trip. Bus service and the Amtrak both run to the area.
