Ski Levels

Shawnee Mountain Ski Area features over 125 acres of land. There are 23 different runs on the mountain. Twenty-five percent of the trails at Shawnee are geared towards beginners, 50 percent are for intermediate skiers, and the final 25 percent percent are rated for experienced and advanced skiers. There are 10 lifts that take riders around the park, providing easy access to all runs. Shawnee has a vertical drop of 700 feet and its longest run is nearly a mile long. There is also 100 percent snowmaking capabilities for all 125 acres of land. You'll find night skiing and even offers a night skiing season pass, so skiers can keep hitting the slopes under the stars.

Après Ski

There are several places to eat on the mountain with a variety of restaurants and cafeterias, including The Black Diamond Grill, Hickory Licks Family Restaurant, and the Trepp Lodge Cafeteria. These are all popular options for affordable, hearty slope-side meals. The surrounding area also offers plenty in the way of lodging and accommodations. There are great budget motels and hotels, rustic bed and breakfasts, historic inns and more. Whatever the budget or preferences the Shawnee Mountain area has a delightful array of comfortable and well-appointed lodging.

Rider’s Guide

Shawnee Mountain Ski Area provides a pure family experience, with 23 different runs covering over 125 acres of skiable land. The majority of the runs are for beginners and intermediates, but a quarter of all runs are dedicated to more advanced skiers and snowboarders. The ski area features 700 feet of vertical drop, as well as 10 lifts to get around the resort.

Parks and Pipes

Shawnee Mountain Ski Area has two terrain parks for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. Bushkill Park is the more advanced of the two parks, featuring a wide variety of jumps, stairs, boxes, and rails. The second park, Incubator Park is the beginner’s park and features easier boxes and rails. It’s a great practice location for those looking to improve their fundamental skills and gain confidence.

Out of Bounds

On the mountain there is snow tubing available. The nearby towns of Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg offer plenty of activities such as shopping, theaters, dining and museums. The Poconos region also has ice skating, ice fishing, snowshoeing and cross country available.

Hangout & Hookup

The Shawnee Mountain Ski Area features several cafeterias and snack bars, including the Trepp Lodge Cafeteria, perfect for those who are looking for a quick bite. The Hickory Licks Family Restaurant and the Black Diamond Grill both offer delicious sit-down meals and a fabulous après ski ambiance. The two towns also host an extensive array of restaurants, many of which feature international cuisine. There is no slope-side accommodation at Shawnee Mountain, but the resort works with many of the area’s local lodging to offer guests amazing ski and stay packages. From upscale resorts and high-end condominiums to budget hotels and cozy cabins, the area has an array of options to suit all types of traveler.
