Riders Guide

Whistler is one of the most beautiful locations in all of North America and one of the best ski resorts in the entire world. Maybe TransWorld Snowboard Magazine said it best, “Record snowfall, raucous nightlife, the largest snowboard competition on the planet, and arguably the best lift-accessed backcountry in the world.” The sheer immensity and diversity found at Whistler Blackcomb will leave even the most seasoned rider speechless. There are over 8,000 acres of land, more than 200 trails, and over 35 lifts. The longest trails on each mountain are more than seven-miles long and the mountains boast more than a mile of vertical.

Parks and Pipes

The resort has several terrain parks including the Highest Level terrain park, Nintendo Terrain parks, Habitat Terrain parks, Terrain Garden and others, which house more than 40 large and medium-sized features, including 70-foot  tables, and an epic quarterpipe. These terrain parks provide over 80 acres of riding paradise, and 100+ incredible jumps, jibs, and rails for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. The Highest Level terrain park is one of the most extreme parks in the Northern Hemisphere, in fact, only the most advanced riders are even granted access to the park and you are required to sign a waiver before embarking on some of the most hardcore jumps and rails in the world.

Out of Bounds

There are plenty of different activities in and around the region. Snowmobiling is awesome, with numerous different tours and trails to explore. There is also snowshoeing, dog sledding, snowcatting, sleigh rides, and an awesome gondola ride between the two mountain peaks. There is also a tube park, which is a perfect way to get off your feet while still racing down the mountain.

Hangout & Hookup

There are plenty of options at the five villages for food, drinks, fun, and lodging. The bases of the two mountains host the perfect après-ski environments, visit Merlin’s, Garibaldi Lift Co, and Dusty’s for some of the most raucous nightlife in the region. The most popular restaurants in the area are Araxi Restaurant and Bearfoot Bistro, both in Whistler Village. Monk’s Grill in the Upper Village is also one of the best on the mountain, reservations are recommended to ensure a table at one of these wildly popular restaurants.
