Skiing at Heavenly is an unforgettable experience replete with stunning mountain vistas, deep powdery chutes, flawlessly groomed trails, and state of the art lifts. The resort covers a stunning 4,800 acres spanning two states, 3,500 feet of vertical, and the highest summit in Lake Tahoe at 10,067 feet!

Ski Levels

The nearly 100 runs suit a variety of ages and abilities, 20 percent beginner runs, 45 percent intermediate trails, and the remaining 35 percent are reserved especially for expert and advanced skiers. There is also a massive amount of acreage dedicated to backcountry and three gates access some of the most intense, steep, and exhilarating backcountry in all the region. Advanced skiers should head to Gunbarrel and experience massive moguls and more than a 1,800 vertical feet descent. With nearly 400 inches of snow and snowmaking on 73 percent of their trails, conditions will be optimal no matter the weather.

The mountain is also home to an extensive ski and snowboard school, as well as a daycare and nursery for the little ones. The lessons cater to all ages, ability, and skill levels. There are a range of private lessons and group lessons, for skiing, snowboarding or telemarking.

Après Ski

The resort is well rounded and offers guests amenities such as lockers, storage, medical facilities, and a complimentary shuttle. It also houses Adventure Peak and Heavenly Flyer Zipline, which is a fun place for children. There is a tubing park, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and hiking available. Rider’s Guide

Heavenly has the highest summit (10,000 feet), the most vertical (3,500 feet), and the biggest ski area (4,800 feet). It also has nearly 100 named runs, more than two dozen lifts, and the distinct novelty of spanning two states. The snowboarding and freestyle skiing is impressive; delve into deep powder runs, invigorating tree runs, and thrilling backcountry with some of the most challenging terrain in the region.

Parks and Pipes

The high rollers terrain parks are a big draw for snowboarders in the area with an impressive array of natural and manmade features, both big and small. The High Roller California is a progression park  that starts easy and ends challenging. The High Roller Superpipe is the largest superpipe in the Tahoe Basin carved by a monster 30-foot Zaugg pipe cutter. The High Roller Stateline is largely an intermediate level park with plenty of mid-size features. The Low Roller is the beginner park and has plenty of small features for younger riders, as well as beginner park riders. The High Roller Nightlife is a nighttime terrain park that will often feature a live DJ.

Out of Bounds

The Lake Tahoe Area is transformed into a winter wonderland every year and offers its guests tons of fun activities throughout the season. On the mountain there is cross-country, snow tubing, snowshoeing, and Adventure Peak. In and around the area there is ice skating, snowmobiling, ice climbing, spas, pools, shopping and other great indoor activities.

Hangout & Hookup

On the Nevada side there are several hotel casinos that offer great drinks, gambling, and live entertainment. There are also plenty of bars in and around the area ranging from casual pub-style places to ritzy cocktail lounges.
