Ski Experience – Wilmot
Wilmot Mountain sits in Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine, a result of glaciation. Its topography and yields skiing and riding on 120 skiable acres, with a base at 800 ft rising 230 feet to its 1030 ft summit. The mountain’s 25 trails are spread out with 30% designated for beginners, 30% for intermediate and 40% skilled, all served by eight lifts.
Because of its reputation as an intermediate hill, many generations of Midwestern skiers have learned to ski and ride at Wilmot. The longest run continues for ½ mile, taking about 2 minutes to complete, and the slopes are devoid of trees and barriers. Wilmot was the first ski area in the Midwest to implement a snowmaking system decades ago, so they offer just a bit more consistent snow conditions for a Midwest resort.
