Ski Experience – Alpine Mountain

Alpine is home to everything that a novice skier can hope for on a beginner’s mountain – a diverse trail set, ski shop, rentals, ski school, and helpful staff.  Five lifts and lack of lift lines, and wide intermediate runs help to make it an excellent mountain to learn or practice skills.

Ski levels

Alpine’s 21 diverse trails offers something for every skier and rider – they are spread among all ability levels: 24% beginner, 38% intermediate 24% advanced, and 14% reserved for experts.  Their 120 acres of skiable terrain hosts a 500-foot vertical served by a high-speed quad, a double and two surface lifts. The mountain’s base sits at 650ft with a 500 foot vertical rise to its 1150 foot peak.  The mountain’s 100% snowmaking capacity and constant grooming ensures excellent trail conditions.

The Rossignol Experience Center, the first of its kind in the Poconos, is a huge draw for families and beginners. Known for its innovative learn-to-ski programs, and designed to shorten the learning curve for first-time riders, the Rossignol Experience takes the stress out of learning snowsports and makes the process fun. The program comes complete with new equipment rentals to maximize comfort and reduce the frustration that a new skier may experience with older equipment.

Alpine is a great resort to build skills before visiting bigger mountains and safe family skiing. With the lack of crowds and efficient lift system, you can expect to take many laps on the trails. It is common for young children learning to ski to easily navigate the beginner hill and lift on their own.

Après Ski

Guests enjoy the Alpine Mountain Skating Rink – the only skating rink of its kind attached to a ski area in the Poconos.  Lessons are available for those who want to learn to skate.  Snowtubing in the Alpine MountainTubing Park is also a popular activity to enjoy after hours: the park is multi-lane and lift served during the day as well as lit up at night for hours of evening fun.  Snowshoeing among Alpine’s many landscapes makes snowy diversion.  Guests also enjoy a relaxing evening with friends at the Base lodge’s BYOB bar.
