Ski Levels

The certified instructors are specially trained to ensure safety, as well as success. They are knowledgeable about the latest techniques. They offer adaptive strategies, perfect for those having a difficult time or those wanting to learn new skills.

Après Ski

The services and facilities at the resort are basic, but offer guests everything they will need for a fun day on the mountain. Past guests rave about the small crowds, impeccable grooming, and unforgettable experiences they’ve had at Palisades Tahoe in North Lake Tahoe, California.

Palisades Tahoe Snowboard Vacation Guide

Rider’s Guide

This massive ski resort covers over 2,400 acres of land. It has more than 100 named runs, nearly a dozen lifts and seven massive powder bowls that offer an out of bounds experience while still remaining inbounds at the resort. There is something for every ability level of snowboarder and freestyle skier. A quarter of the runs are rated for beginners. About a third is ideal for intermediate levels. A third is designated for expert riders.

Parks and Pipes

The terrain park is made of four separate areas that range from small and easy to massive and difficult. The Dance Floor is the area’s expert terrain park. It features large jumps and rails many of them exceeding 30 feet. The Sneaky Wease has intermediate level natural features and is hidden amidst trees near Loop Road. Roo Ridge is another intermediate level park and features mid-size jibs and jumps. The Tiegel is the beginner’s park and features smaller features for smaller riders and novices to park.

Out of Bounds

The area has tons of fun activities, such as snowtubing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The area also has ice skating, swimming, hiking, fishing, and of course, gambling. For lovers of the great indoors, there is plenty of shopping, theatres, dining and cafes that offer gorgeous views of the winter wonderland outside. The area is abuzz with activity during the winter and there are activities to suit all tastes and budgets.

Hangout and Hookup

The nightlife in Lake Tahoe is as varied as the terrain on the mountain. There is one great après ski bar at Palisades Tahoe, but the area has plenty in the way of pubs, bars, lounges and live music venues. The casino hotels in the area offer plenty of nighttime excitement.
