Terrain Parks – Woodbury

Rider’s Guide

Generally the first ski area open in New England, Woodbury is not only home to state-of the-art snowmaking; it’s also extremely accessible for residents of Connecticut and the entire tri-state area. There are 12 trails, 100 acres, 300 feet of vertical, and 100 percent snowmaking coverage.

Parks and Pipes

This ski area was one of the first resorts in Connecticut to allow snowboarders and it has continued its appreciation of the sport by constantly working to improve their fantastic terrain park. In fact, the resort has expanded the size of the area and developed more space to put more series of jumps, rails, boxes, and spines. The park offers features both large and small and is even lit up at night to provide more opportunities to perfect freestyle skills.

Out of Bounds

As an added bonus for those guests who love all things board. There is a great skate park, which is open, weather permitting, all winter long. There is also an indoor park when the weather isn’t ideal. The two parks have an array of great features and offer a nice escape from the snow. There is also a great kidney pool exclusively for bikers and skaters. There are two boxes, one large pyramid, four slide rails, a drop-in halfpipe, three pall-out ramps, several quarter pipes, and much more.

Hangout & Hookup

The area has its fair share of après ski spots and there are several bars and restaurants in the area. Locals flock to Musky’s East Side Pub in Waterbury, this no-frills hometown bar is the perfect spot to relax after a full day on the slopes or in the park. Fortunately, the ski area is close to bigger cities with a more bustling nightlife. New York is less than two hours from the resort, and as the, “City that Never Sleeps,” guests will find no shortage of amazing things to do once the sun sets.
