Riders Guide – Crystal Mountain is in Westbank, British Columbia. There are more than 20 trails to enjoy, with 20% of those designed for advanced riders, 50% for intermediate riders and 30% for novice riders. The longest trail is a mile, so it’s long enough to offer a challenge to new skiers and riders and just right for advanced riders. The mountain gets about 10 feet of snowfall each year and has a vertical drop of just over 650 feet. There are more than 150 skiable acres and the mountain has a base elevation of about 3,900 feet.

Parks and Pipes – Crystal Mountain houses a terrain park for snowboarders and freestyle skiers called Rankins Rut where guests can enjoy tables, rails, jumps and a plethora of other fun features. Crystal Mountain has big plans to expand their area and grow the terrain park, so that it contains bigger and better natural and manmade features.

Out of Bounds – One of the most popular activities at Crystal Mountain is climbing their expansive 30-foot ice tower. It’s the first in region and offers an unusual experience that guests simply cannot experience at just any ski and snowboard resort. The experience is akin to scaling the side of a glacier with crampons and spikes alongside an expert that will help assist guests along the way. Once guests have scaled the tower they get to repel back down which adds another dimension to the unique experience at Crystal Mountain. Snowshoe tours and races are also available, and activities such as trail tours and helicopter rides in the Westbank area are fun activities when you’re not on the slopes.

Hangout & Hookup – Most people looking for après ski enjoy the relaxed and casual nightlife at Crystal Mountain. It’s specifically designed for families, so everything is kept child friendly and fairly calm. The Deal – Getting to Crystal Mountain is easy. From Kelowna or even four-and-a-half hours away in Vancouver, simply follow Highway 97 past Westbank and take the exit at Glenrosa. Follow Glenrosa Road for the next 7 miles and it will lead directly to Crystal Mountain. Regardless of which direction visitors travel from, there is an exit sign clearly marked so it’s quite easy to get to the resort.
