Riders Guide – Mount Baldy is a great British Columbia ski resort that’s open daily during the Christmas season except for Christmas Day, spring break season and student vacations and generally open Thursday through Monday throughout the rest of the ski season other times. Mount Baldy has more than 35 runs available on the mountain. 29% are designed for beginners and about 30% are designed for advanced riders and skiers, 41% of the trails are rated as intermediate The longest run on the mountain is about a mile long, which makes it a challenge and something that more advanced skiers can enjoy.




Parks and Pipes – Mount Baldy has a terrain park full of jumps, rails and boxes that’s located at Sugar Lump. The Mount Baldy Slope Style Jam Session is held there every year. There is a halfpipe for those who want to work on their tricks and aerials. There is also a school at Mount Baldy that teaches advanced and beginner snowboarding skills specifically, it’s separate but still part of the acclaimed Mount Baldy ski school.




Out of Bounds – Along with the Alpine skiing and snowboarding, guests can enjoy a cross-country ski experience. The cross-country trails are ungroomed and run for about 20 km. There are also marked snowshoe trails for guests to enjoy. The mountain also offers an area for tobogganing and offers a golf course designed for Frisbees that visitors can enjoy after a long day on the slopes.

The Deal – Mount Baldy is about two hours from Kelowna, which means it’s only a few hours from Crystal Mountain and other British Columbia ski resorts. The closest village is Oliver, which is just 40 minutes away. Other nearby villages like Osoyoos are 50 minutes away and Penticton at just over an hour away, all offer a convenient shuttle service to transport guests back and forth to the resort, which makes lodging in nearby villages convenient and very affordable.
