Silver Mountain Resort Snowboard Vacation Guide

Riders Guide

Idaho’s Silver Mountain Resort features 73 trails, and over 1,600 acres across two peaks so that skiers and snowboarders can spend more time on the powder and less time riding on lifts. The peaks get over 300 inches of snow each year, which means prime snow during the entire season. The many gladed areas off the mainstream make it easier to find fresh snow.

Parks and Pipes

The terrain park has everything from beginner’s jibs to those for expert riders. The Little Dude line is for beginners and is the perfect place to start learning snowboarding skills, while the Ripper’s Line is for the expert rider who wants to enjoy a top jib. The slopes flow into each other, and there are a variety of rails and jump lines to add variety. The terrain park has a 56-foot "S" box, tables, sweep rails, and long rails like the Down Kink Rail, which is 35-feet long, and the 40-foot Battleship Rail. At the height of the season, the park has over 30 features.

Out of Bounds

Snow tubing is a popular pastime here. Tube down one of four lanes and then enjoy an effortless ride back to the top. Tubing tickets include the cost of a snow tube rental and tickets for the gondola ride. The snow tubing park even includes Saturday night snow tubing under the park lights. The Silver Rapids Waterpark is Idaho’s largest indoor waterpark, available to guests at the Morning Star Lodge year-round.
