Ski Levels

One the top 10 largest resorts in the entire country. With 4,406 vertical feet, it has the most vertical drop of any resort in the U.S. Snowmass also covers more than 3,100 acres, which includes the Hanging Valley Glades, a back area so extreme that the mountain was apprehensive about opening up the area to skiers for several years. The ski area also contains over 90 trails, two dozen lifts, and several terrain parks. The longest run is 5.3 miles and serves as a perfect endurance test for skiers. There are runs suitable for all ability levels, 6 percent beginner, 50 percent intermediate, 12 percent advanced and 32 percent expert. The ski resort also hosts a world-class ski school that will teach fundamentals, techniques, and expert tips with skiers of all ages and ability levels. The Treehouse Kid’s Adventure Center, which is a childcare center, ski school, and all-around educational experience. The resort also features several rental and retail shops that all carry the absolute best brands and newest equipment available to rent and own.
