When you get to the Laurentians, you'll be convinced that you're in the French Swiss Alps. The Laurentian Region has some magnificent resorts, which are all imbued with the savoir-faire of the Francophonie. Mont Tremblant has a total of 13 lifts, comprising of five high-speed quads, five quads, one gondola, and one magic carpet. You'll find 94 trails where you can snowboard on their longest run of almost 20,000feet atop 150 inches of powder. Their trails are rated 17 percent for beginners, 33 percent for intermediates, and 50 percent for advanced skiers.

Parks and Pipes

Mont Tremblant features three separate terrain parks, named the Progression Zone, Intermediate Zone, and Advanced Zone, which are all chock full of jibs, hips, ramps, rails, and jumps. Of course you'll head directly for the Advanced Zone, which has some awesome features including spine jumps, A frames, C rails, C boxes, flat down rail, fun box, double kinked rail, battleship rail, rainbow rail, roller coaster box, flat rail, down rail, picnic tables, and of course you can try your mettle out on the Olympic caliber 420-foot superpipe.

Out of Bounds

Right in Mont Tremblant you can climb a frozen cliff face without any prior climbing experience as qualified instructors will teach the basic climbing and safety techniques. Mont Tremblant also has its own dog sled tours or you can go off site to Matawin Aventure, Les Skis Doux, Expedition Wolf, Evasion Nature, or Aventures Blanches. When it's time to get above it all, what better way to enjoy the incredible Laurentian scenery and get to those absolutely unreachable monster slopes than a helicopter. Heli Tremblant and Heli Star will fly you anywhere you want to go. If you want to go blasting through the powder on a snowmobile right at Mont Tremblant or contact Randonneige Quebec, LMS, Quebec Snowmobile Tours, Passeport Aventure, or Maximage Aventure. Remember that Ski-Doos were born and are still produced in Quebec, so this is one place that worships its snowmobiles!

Hangout & Hookup

Head into the European village at Mont Tremblant to check out any of the ten wonderful bars, plus La Diable Microbrewery and the unique Aquaclub. Cirque Blanc amusement centre has amazingly realistic interactive video games to perfect all your skills: mountain biking, alpine skiing, kayaking, and of course, snowboarding. It's the ultimate under 21 video sports hangout. When the stars shine on Mont Tremblant, so does the nightlife at Le Petit Caribou, or Le Café de l'époque. If you want to brave the one and a half hour drive into Montreal, you will find nightlife that challenges New York for the most outrageous and crazy clubs and bars in the eastern half of the continent. Nobody likes to party more than Montrealers and they'll be glad to show you! Ooo la la! If you're around on a night when Les Canadiens have won a hockey game, get ready to party until dawn and far beyond!
