Riders Guide

Revelstoke gives its guests the chance to ski and ride on some quality snow and lots of it, between 40 and 60 feet annually . Revelstoke Mountain Resort is the place to go for pristine, challenging and unforgettable powder and backwoods skiing. Almost everything at Revelstoke is designed for intermediate and advanced riders. There's a vertical drop of over 5,600 feet, which serves as a challenge for even the most advanced skier. Additionally, the ski area has the biggest vertical in all of North America and skiers and riders with stamina will want to head directly to The Last Spike, which lasts for 9.5 miles. Only 7% of the trails at Revelstoke are designed for beginners. 45.5% are great for intermediate level skiers while the remaining 47.5% are for truly advanced and experienced skiers. There is an eight person high-speed gondola called Revelation, two high-speed quads, a magic carpet lift and a snowcat.

Parks and Pipes

There is no terrain park at Revelstoke but snowboarders are more than welcome. Riders will no doubt enjoy more than a dozen areas of gladed terrain, numerous bowls, and some of the best cat-skiing in all of North America.

Out of Bounds

The Lodge and other accommodations at the resort offer a variety of dining and shopping activities. But most people come to Revelstoke to ski. And for those who want a big ski experience there's heli-skiing and cat skiing that can offer over 250 runs with 6000 foot ski out and up to 2000 feet of vertical drop.

Hangout & Hookup

The lodge at the resort and several lodges scattered throughout the mountain are the places most riders go to relax and gather after a robust day on the slopes. Other than that the area and towns surrounding Revelstoke are rather quiet and offer up a few bars and lounges but nothing like some of the larger ski villages in British Columbia.

The Deal

Thousands of people flock to Revelstoke to cat and heli-ski and enjoy the lift-serviced slopes. It's a conveniently located resort and easy to get to by car or shuttle service which runs every day during the height of the season. To get to the mountain from the TransCanada Highway simply take the first Revelstoke exit coming from either Calgary or Banff or take the second exit if coming down from areas like Vancouver, Kamloops or Kelowna. That turns onto 4th St., South, follow that until Nichol Road. Follow Nichol until Camozzi Road and then turn right and the road will lead right to the resort. Even though the resort is easy to get to it still has that backwoods wild mountain feel and guests will truly get to indulge in that feeling with all of the great cat and heli-skiing available.
