Find Your Ski Area:

Revelstoke Mountain Resort

Revelstoke Mountain Resort in British Columbia is known for its fantastic and challenging alpine terrain along with its whopping 50 feet of snow annually.

Calling All Intermediate to Advanced Skiers

Revelstoke is comprised of more than 500,000 acres of snow covered slopes and wild country that guests can enjoy with cat skiing and heli-skiing. Most of the trails that are lift serviced at Revelstoke are designed for skiers of skill levels from intermediate to advanced. However, the heli-skiing is designed for expert skiers and riders who desire an extreme experience and no-holds barred skiing and riding. Epic chutes, harrowing steeps, and massive backcountry are plentiful at Revelstoke, and even if guests stay in bounds of the lift serviced area they will find plenty of hair raising runs because the mountain has the highest vertical drop in North America coming in at over a mile, 5,600 feet.

People have been skiing in the area for years using cats and helicopters because of the amazing terrain, and until fairly recently, there was not a traditional resort to speak of until Revelstoke opened its doors in 2007. There are over a dozen gladed skiing areas, plenty of groomed trails, bowls, and over 3,000 acres of lift skiing. The resort is also the only one in the world where visitors can go cat skiing, heli-skiing, lift skiing, and backcountry skiing all from one village base.

Off the Slopes

This is truly an adventurous vacation and very often guests will be able to find discount ski coupons to help knock some of the high cost off a pricey helicopter accessed vacation. Families are more than welcome at Revelstoke and can enjoy the quaint mountain town, but much of the mountain is designed for adults, especially adults who love to ski and ride. The resort is easy to get to from the highway and travel isn't treacherous even though the resort is surrounded by rugged alpine wilderness. Lodging in the area ranges from the four seasons resort to a variety of condominiums, townhomes, single-family rental homes and hotel suites. Private rental homes and villas as well as ski chalets populate the area so guests can choose from budget lodging at a motel or go with a luxury option if they so prefer.

This is one of the most massive and impressive ski areas in all of British Columbia, the village and resort are also beautifully appointed and wonderful. Head to Revelstoke in British Columbia if you seek wild and challenging country skiing and yearn to experience the longest vertical drop in North America.
