Silver Star Mountain Resort

A few of the multitude of awards and accolades heaped on to Silver Star include: Best New Terrain, Best Powder, Best Bumps in the West, Best Grooming, and Best Place to Learn from the Pros (source: Ski Canada magazine.) That's a pretty strong endorsement, but they're actually being modest. The snow and terrain at Silver Star are incredible!

World-Class Resort

Offering up just under 2,500 feet of vertical drop spread across 3,000 acres, this incredibly well balanced mountain has 117 runs serviced by 12 lifts. Adrenalin junkies beware, the terrain park contains more than 16 acres of TELUS Park, and professional snowboard videos are shot there often. With an average snowfall of 23 feet, professionals and amateurs alike are able to experience all natural snow skiing and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and other winter activities. Silver Star even lights up some runs and terrain for night skiing and snowboarding. Guests will find everything they want, no matter what their abilities or experience,

Silver Star is most well-loved for downhill skiing and snowboarding, but cross-country skiers, snowshoe trekking enthusiasts and ice skaters will also have a good time. The mountain accommodates tubing and snowmobile tours too. At Silver Star, the skiing and snowboarding instruction (over 100 qualified instructors), as well as the daycare staff and facilities are extraordinary, a reflection of their excellent and deserved reputation. Silver Star ranks amongst the very most hospitable resorts in North America. There are scores of unsolicited compliments about this place, how staff has gone way out of their way to make guests feel at home or accommodate their needs. It's all part and parcel of the way things are done up there and why Silver Star is certain to present guests with a most enjoyable winter vacation experience.

Off the Slopes

Après-ski is excellent at Silver Star and there are plenty of restaurants, pubs, and lounges to visit. Families and groups may prefer to watch a fireworks display, enjoy bingo, karaoke, or watch a movie together. Adults may wish to enjoy a bottle of locally produced wine or indulge in a full spa treatment or soak in a private hot tub. Regardless of tastes or preferences, guests will be sure to have a great time at Silver Star, both on and off the mountain!

Silver Star is a world-class resort without the pretension typically found at other resorts. It has all the luxurious accommodations, services, facilities, and terrain alongside great people, affordable prices, and a host of activities for everyone to enjoy.
