Sun Peaks Resort

Just a short drive northeast of Kamloops (4.5 hours’ drive from Vancouver) in British Columbia, nestled within the glorious Thompson Okanagan region, guests will discover the beautiful Sun Peaks Resort.

Family Friendly B.C. Resort

Well known for consistent and reliable sun and snow, this family-friendly alpine mountain is an outstanding winter sports destination. Skiers and snowboarders alike will be thrilled at B.C.'s second most popular resort area. Its four areas are built upon three majestic mountains, which ensure a diversity of terrains that has delighted millions of visitors since its humble beginnings on Tod Mountain back in 1961. New guests to the resort will be absolutely thrilled and enthralled by Sun Peaks' wonders.

The summit of the resort is 6,824 feet, which provides nearly 3,000 vertical feet. The resort is home to more than 3,600 skiable acres that enjoys an average of 220 inches of snow a year. There are two fantastic alpine bowls, and several runs that exceed four miles. Over 10 percent of this gigantic resort is rated for novice skiers and riders, just less than 60 percent is rated as intermediate, and a whopping 32 percent is rated as black diamond trails. Cross-country enthusiasts will also be impressed by the 28 kilometers of groomed trails and an additional 12 kilometers of ungroomed back country. But the sheer amount of terrain isn’t the only highlight of skiing Sun Peaks, there's a picture-perfect vista at every turn throughout this most extraordinary alpine destination.

Off the Slopes

Of course, no resort is complete without clubs and entertainment, dining and aprés-ski opportunities. Sun Peaks is astounding both on and off the slopes. Guests will find a an impressive variety of dining choices, pubs and lounges, as well as a great spa which offers the opportunity to take in a soak, massage and many other forms of R&R. There are also a plethora of fantastic lodging options in the Sun Peaks village. From budget motels and hotels, to chic ski chalets, lodges and condos, there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. The lodging also offers great ski and stay specials throughout the season that are definitely worth checking out.
