Christmas Mountain Village

There are some ski resorts that simply do not work for a family vacation. Packed hills and advanced skiers simply ruin the mood for an otherwise enjoyable family vacation. Christmas Mountain Village ski resort provides the perfect remedy, giving families the area they need to truly enjoy a ski vacation.

Can't Beat the Price

Let's start here. This is a resort style community, with a mountain of 13 runs accessed by two chair lifts. It's quaint and a great place to learn to ski. But here's the best part—Christmas Mountain lift ticket prices are among the lowest you can find and with package specials, your family will get to enjoy a ski experience without over spending. The mountain has 40 acres of purely ski and riding land, providing a vertical drop of 250. Families with beginners will find 40 percent of the slopes dedicated to their needs, as will families with intermediate skiers. Advanced skiers will use 20 percent of the slopes, and for the extra challenge can hit up the terrain park for some free-style skiing. There you'll find a step-up box rail, corrugated tube, flat box, flat down box, flat rail, and a set-up jump.

Off the Slopes

Located in the Wisconsin Dells, the resort is surrounded by options for stay and play. Families will find plenty of lodging accommodations both at the hill and miles away, including townhomes lodges, and villas located at the Village. The mountain provides two different places to eat for families, including Mulligans Bar N’ Grill and Jolly’s Burger, Brats, and Fun. Both locations provide plenty of wallet-friendly and kid-friendly dining for your vacation. Jolly's is open for lunch and dinner only during ski season.

Because you'll be in the Dells, there is no shortage of off mountain accommodations, dining, and activities. During the summer months, this area really attracts hikers, bikers, and vacationers. The winter brings in the families learning to ski and looking for a comfortable getaway. Be sure to check out their calendar of events during the summer, as free concerts throughout the year are open to the public and will bring more than just a day of music, but also a water balloon launch, family relay races, horseshoes, bean bag toss, sand volleyball games, a bounce house, chair lift rides, horse drawn wagon rides, and rock climbing walls.

Getting Here

Thanks to its close location to Madison (one hour) and Milwaukee (two hours), this is a great vacation destination. Exit 87 off of I-94 will take you directly to the mountain, making the drive easy to handle.
