Devil's Head Resort

Devil's Head Resort Area is located in south central Wisconsin and offers 500 vertical feet for skiers and snowboarders. Located in the Baraboo Bluffs in South Central Wisconsin, the mountain is one of Wisconsin's highest and was carved by glaciers.

Midwestern Mountains—A Great Place to Learn

The trails are groomed twice each day so you can enjoy smooth powder. The groomed runs and ski-in/ski-out accommodations make it a vacation favorite for thrill-seekers and families alike.  The terrain parks have more rails in the runs than any other in the state. There are 30 steep, wide runs, with the longest at 1.5 miles. The trails are fairly even split with 30 percent each beginner and advanced and another 40 percent rated for the intermediate skier. The ski school features instructors from the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA), giving you and your kids ample opportunity to learn from excellent instructors. Devil's Head is an attractive resort that offers great ski deals and vacation package discounts. It also offers an assortment of both day and night time recreational activities including casinos, nightlife, cross-country skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, dining, entertainment, family fun activities, and much more. Off the Slopes

There are many options for lodging in the area, including lodge-style rooms and suites, local hotels and motels, and a variety of luxury options like guests houses, vacation rental homes, and condominiums. Condos and ski resort style lodging are perfect for groups and families who want that luxurious atmosphere, while still getting great value. Winter ski vacationers will like all the ski-in, ski-out accommodations. Ice skating, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and other winter sports are the most popular winter time activities. There are top restaurants and shops in the area as well, which make staying in the area even more easy and fun.

Getting Here

Devil's Head resort is located near the Town of Merrimac, Wisconsin and is three hours away from Chicago, and slightly less than that from Milwaukee or Madison. From Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago, take I 90/94 to the Merrimac Exit (108A). Follow Highway 78 south for eight miles. Then turn right onto Highway DL, right onto Bluff Road, and then go right at the sign for Devil's Head.
