Riders Guide

Canaan Valley is renowned for providing a wide variety of runs to snowboarders of all experience levels. Impeccably groomed trails and short lift lines are the norm at Canaan Valley, a resort that takes skiing and boarding seriously. The 39 trails are evenly distributed between beginner, intermediate and expert. The longest run at Canaan Valley is over 1 mile long. The mountain covers over 850 vertical feet which means you’ll have plenty of space to carve the mountain.

Parks and Pipes

Canaan Valley has two separate terrain parks. One terrain park is completely dedicated to snowboarders, the other is completely dedicated to Airboarders. This terrain park was the first terrain park completely dedicated to Airboarding in the United States. Think of this as extreme sledding but on an inflatable raft. Both terrain parks have some great runs, and the snowboarding park features awesome boxes, rails, and jumps.

Out of Bounds

Canaan Valley has plenty of different activities for those interested in more than just snowboarding. The Valley features sledding, airboarding, cross country and snowshoeing as just a few alternatives for those heading to the mountain.

Hangout & Hookup

There are plenty of different places to hang out and grab a bite to eat when at Canaan Valley resort. The area features plenty of food right on the mountain, including the Hickory Dining Room and the Bear Paw Food Court. Those looking for some après-ski drinks should head right to the Laurel Lounge, the ultimate hangout at Canaan Valley.
