Mad River Glen

If quintessential Vermont is what you seek, look no further than Mad River Valley in northern Vermont. The region reflects over two centuries of cultivated farm land contrasted by the pine green wooded slopes of the 3,975-foot General Stark Mountain. Ski Mad River

Located in in the “snow corner” of New England, Mad River has excellent expert terrain and it is famous for it. The trails follow the natural bumps and contours of the mountain and lead to a single base area. While it’s not the most popular ski resort in the state (and that’s a good thing), it truly is one of the best for those seeking challenging and invigorating skiing and snowboarding. Off the Slopes

The nearby towns of Waitsfield and Warren are picture perfect New England towns, complete with iconic covered bridges and soaring church steeples that dot the idyllic Mad River landscape. Après ski and dining options abound in the Mad River Valley. Both rustic and romantic visitors will find a wide variety of dining experiences on and off the slope. Vermont is for lovers, so go ahead and fall in love with Mad River Valley. Mad River Glen provides some of the best skiing and boarding on the East Coast.

Getting Here

Mad River Glen is only six miles from Sugarbush giving you more opportunities to enjoy the skiing and other activities in the Mad River Valley. Routes 100 & 100B follow the Mad River through the valley. Located just 40 minutes from Stowe, one hour from Killington, three hours from Boston, and five hours from New York City. Greyhound has bus service to both Montpelier and Waterbury. Burlington International Airport is an hour away and Manchester Airport is a two hour drive.
