Okemo Snowboard Vacation Guide

Rider’s Guide

With a vertical drop of 2,200 feet, Okemo in Vermont offers some of the best skiing Vermont and North America have to offer at a friendly and family-run ski resort. There are 624 skiable acres with snowmaking over 95 percent of those areas. Most of the trails are for beginners, first-timers and intermediate skiers, with just a few for expert and advanced skiers, the emphasis is on the average skier. But there’s enough challenge in the harder trails to make it a great place for even adventure-seekers. There are 18 lifts at a capacity of over 32,000 skiers per hour.

Parks and Pipes

The 4 parks and 2 pipes at Okemo make it a top destination for snowboarders. The SoBe Super Park is the biggest terrain park for experienced riders. Rails and boxes as well as their famous "Truth Rail" make this a don’t-miss park for snowboarders. The Zone Jib Park has unique features and is often used for competitions. Progression Park is for freestyle snowboarders that are learning the moves, while Hot Dog Hill is perfect for riders just learning to handle boxes and rails with features at knee-height to make it easier to learn. Try a pipe with 17-foot walls and a wide path and see how much time you spend on the snow instead of in a lift.
