Alpine Mountain

Alpine Mountain, nestled in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, welcomes guests with its beautiful panoramic views and friendly staff.  With well-groomed wide runs, the area is just the right size for novice skiers to hone their skills, without the hassle of large crowds.

Family-Friendly Learn-to-Ski Mountain

Alpine Mountain Resort’s size and location are ideal for those learning to ski in the Poconos, and for mixed groups skiing together.  The lack of lift lines makes it possible for first-timers and novice skiers to take many laps on Alpine’s 21 diverse trails.  The mountain’s 120 skiable acres hosts a 500-foot vertical served by several lifts, including a high-speed quad, a double and surface lifts.

Alpine benefits from the abundant snowfalls and lower temperatures of the Poconos, but also boasts  snowmaking capacity that covers 100% of the resort. Consistent grooming helps to keep the trails in excellent condition through the season.

The helpful and friendly staff is part of the reason that the ski area has been recognized as a good destination for families and for new skiers in the East.  Alpine’s lifts are well placed, and the mountain is small enough for groups to navigate efficiently, yet offers on mountain amenities such as dining, a ski shop and rentals.  Little to no wait times for lifts or rentals eliminates the typical hassles that skiers experience at larger resorts.

Off the Slopes

To the pleasure of winter sports fans, Alpine also offers night skiing, snow tubing, snowshoeing and the only ice skating rink attached to a ski area in the Pocono Mountains. On-resort dining options include a full service café, pizza shop, and base lodge bar where adults can drink their favorite beverages that they’ve brought along. Accommodations are available within minutes from the resort, and range from hotel and motel-style lodging to charming B&Bs, private condos and residences.
