Camelback offers a diverse terrain of approximately 166 skiable acres on about 34 trails, quite possibly the largest amount of terrain in Pennsylvania. All the trails are lit for night skiing, riding and tubing. The terrain is diverse and rated 39% beginner, 26% more difficult, 26% most difficult and 9% for experts only. The runs are serviced be no less than 16 lifts up to an 800 foot vertical.  Cambelback is one of the few ski areas with 100% snowmaking to cover all terrain.  Their fleet of 1200+ snow guns produces enough firepower to cover two acres with one foot within one hour. 

This mountain is an excellent mountain to learn how to ski and ride for people of any age, and it has offers the terrain to develop expert level skills. Their unique terrain-based learning program teaches riders how to slide and turn on all types of surfaces, including a mini-pipe.

Après Ski

You can find good food and drink in and around Camelback Mountain area. There are about a dozen snack shops, bistros, grills and restaurant within the ski area to choose from. The Cameltop Mountain Lodge at the ski area offers après entertainment of food, beer and live music. The Thirsty Camel and Glen Lodge are also good hangout spots to grab a beer after hours.  Since Camelback is so close to many urban areas, city nightlife is just a two-hour drive away.

Family-Friendly Activities

The Aquatopia water park housed inside the Camelback Lodge is a popular family attraction.  The 125,000 square-foot water oasis is kept at 84-degrees year-round. And the park is covered by a transparent roof, allowing for tanning by day and star gazing at night. Parents can enjoy food and drink service in private cabanas while the kiddos swim, or go grab something from the park's swim up bars.

An alternative to skiing that everyone in the family from toddlers to grandfolks might enjoy is a trip down Camelback on the 4500-foot steel-track Mountain Coaster.  Riding down this massive hill through trees and down steep slopes in the winter does not require any experience, and is truly a thrilling ride and hours of fun.

There's no shortage of snowtubing at Camelback, which boasts the largest snowtubing park in the USA at 42 lanes and counting!  You can ride one or two people per tube, and this area is also lit up through the night. Two magic carpet serves the huge tubing area for quick access and many laps down the hill.  Night skiing and riding is a popular activity at Camelback and a great place for teens and tweens to expend their adrenaline.
