Located in eastern New Hampshire in the heart of the Lakes Region, Gunstock Mountain Resort is renowned for its incredible landscape full of breathtaking views, mountain peaks, snow-covered forests, and the pristine Lake Winnipesaukee. The only thing more spectacular than the beautiful sights found on this mountain are the incredible trails, runs, and parks that thousands of skiers and snowboarders seek to conquer each and every year.

Easy to Get to Yes Less Crowded

Despite it’s proximity to major metropolitan areas, the ski area isn’t overly crowded. The resort provides incredibly well-groomed trails and spacious snow fields within an absolutely stunning setting. A hidden gem amidst the multitude of New England resorts, it is a pure delight.

This beautiful resort has over 220 acres of skiable land. The snow-covered acres house 55 runs. Gunstock also provides over 50 kilometers for cross-country skiing, guided and private snowshoeing tours, a terrain park, and night skiing. To top it off, over 15 kilometers is reserved for Skijoring, which is derived from a Norwegian word meaning ‘ski driving’, it is a hands free skiing experience where you are harnessed behind dogs that help pull you along the trail. Off the Slopes

The mountain is also proud to have New Hampshire’s largest tubing park, the Thrill Hill Tubing Park is over 1,068-feet long and a perfect activity for when you need a fun diversion. There are many towns that surround the mountain and Lake Winnipesaukee. In fact, the Lakes Region offers more than 20,000 beds within a 20 mile radius, many of which are discounted throughout the season. Whether you seek a luxury resort, rental home, lakefront lodge, New England-style cottage, cozy hotel, or even winter camping, the area has it all. There are also extensive dining options in the area, including the famous Weirs Beach Lobster Pound, a fun, family-friendly restaurant located just minutes from the resort on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee.

Getting Here

This is the closest major resort to Boston and the New Hampshire Coast, and is conveniently located just 10 minutes off of both I-93 and 1-95 on RT-11A.
