Long History of over 75 Years

This mountain is known for its strong history and its stunning landscapes. Nestled in the heart of the stunning Presidential Mountain range, far above the picturesque town of Jackson, Black Mountain has established themselves as a family-focused resort for over 75 years. New Hampshire's first ski area has been providing skiers from all backgrounds and all experience levels a chance to fully enjoy their stay for many decades. Black Mountain features four lifts that whisks guests to the 2,350-foot summit. Over 40 different ski and snowboard trails take guests through over 143 acres of skiable land, including glades and tree trails. There are an equal amount of beginner, intermediate, and expert slopes, mixed with incredible cross-country skiing opportunities.

Off the Slopes

The Lostbo Pub is known for its fun and laidback atmosphere. The food there is cheap and delicious, and the drinks are constantly flowing. It’s a great place to surround yourself with friends or find some new ones as you lounge around the fireplace and couches in this rustic and enjoyable classic ski pub.

The lodging accommodations in and around the area provide charming and unique stays that rival the stays of any large mountain. The small village of Jackson provides plenty of different inns, hotels, and bed and breakfast joints for your stay, including the Nordic Village Resort, the Inn at Jackson, and the Snowflake Inn. Black Mountain is not one of those overcrowded overpriced resorts—it aims to be the mountain with wide-open trails and well-groomed slopes. If you are looking for a secluded gem, this is a great choice.
