Nothing beats the thrill of going down a slope on skis or a snowboard for the first time. Nothing compares to that feeling you get when you’ve just successfully conquered your first trail. Ragged Mountain offers an incredibly beautiful backdrop to these once in a lifetime experiences every day.

Unknown—Just the Way We Like It

Even if it’s not your first time, the mountain provides skiers and snowboarder alike with well-groomed runs and diverse terrain. This is a relatively unknown ski resort, but is continuing to grow thanks to recent renovations and investments. Ragged Mountain is one of the fastest growing ski resorts in the state, giving visitors plenty of good reasons to get to the park and experience all the improvements for themselves.

As a fun game, every day the resort staff hide a plastic hot-pink flamingo around their 50 designated skiing and snowboarding trails and if you find Sweeps the Flamingo, you ski an extra day for free. What a great approach to keeping guests and locals excited and engaged! This is a perfect ski resort for skiers and snowboarders from all walks of life. The mountain provides a beautiful backdrop for the innumerable memories and experiences you’ll have while enjoying your vacation.

Off the Slopes

In addition to great skiing and boarding, the resort offers a variety of other top-notch amenities, such as ski lessons and ski and snowboard rental and repair services. A long day on the slopes requires some serious fuel. There are several places to dine, including three that are located on the mountain. Tallulah’s Tavern offers a bevy of après ski entertainment and drinks. The Pub offers delicious wood-fired pizzas and microbrews, while the Harvest is a fully operational cafeteria, providing a range of homemade favorites and ski classics all at affordable prices.

There is also an array of accommodation options located slope side, including a budget bunk house. Also, the nearby town of Danbury provides a classic New England setting for guests looking to stay in town. Danbury boasts beautiful historic inns and romantic bed and breakfasts, as well as a variety of shops that line its historic streets.

Getting Here

Located in the city of Danbury, the resort has a special access road that is about 20 minutes off of I-93 and 20 minutes off of Rt. 104. The resort is less than an hour from Manchester, NH’s airport and less than two hours from Logan International in Boston, Massachusetts.
