Ski Levels

The diversity of runs, the sheer amount of activities and events and the stunning landscape make Mt. Abram a popular destination. Touted as one of the most family friendly resorts in Maine, the ski area is perfect for beginners, intermediates and has plenty of challenging terrain for more advanced skiers and riders to enjoy. The ski area is spread over 550 acres, boasts a 1,150-foot vertical drop, and has over 40 named trails. It also has a significant amount of gladed runs and tree runs, which are perfect for seasoned skiers and riders to enjoy. Some of the more well-known runs are all cheekily named after characters in Rocky and Bullwinkle. The beginner’s area and daycare are placed apart from the main area giving the beginners comfort to practice. There is a shuttle that runs between the main area and the west side.

Après Ski

There is a host of amenities available at the resort including a few dining establishments, a lounge, ski and snowboard rental, daycare, ski school and race program at the mountain. The resort doesn’t have slope side lodging available but there are plenty of options in the area, including in the quaint mountain town of Bethel. Mt. Abram partners with many of these accommodations to offer great ski and stay deals at anything from romantic bed and breakfasts to well-appointed hotels and budget friendly motels. The area is a long-time family favorite for families in the area and its accessibility and convenience keeps people coming back year after year.
