Riders Guide

The more than 200 inches of snow means that there is plenty of powder for skiers and riders to enjoy, with plenty of snowmaking capacity at each park in case the natural snow doesn’t fall well, and to help extend the season. Dozens of trails and numerous lifts, including high-speed quads mean that there’s something for even the most expert skier, and beginners aren’t left out in the cold.

Parks and Pipes

The mountain offers a number of terrain parks. Haywire is big and bold with huge rails and awesome jumps. Stomping Grounds is designed for intermediate snowboarders. There are five jibs and a super fun box, a culvert, skidder tire, and a jump you can hit from different angles. It’s great for fairly experienced freestylers who find the beginner park too easy, but Haywire too intimidating. Sidewinder is the terrain park full of banked turns, rollers, a jump line, and awesome tables for the intermediate and experienced riders. And don’t miss the half pipe and the superpipe. It’s a mammoth 400-feet long with 18-foot walls for extreme riding. For beginners, Skybound Park is there to help you learn how to hit your first rail, box, or jump.

Out of Bounds

This ski resort offers many other options besides slopes and terrain parks, as if those aren’t enough. Ice skating is a popular pastime along with snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, dog sledding and sleigh rides. Indoor activities for kids are available, too.

Hangout & Hookup

It’s definitely a country atmosphere at the resort because they are far away from metro areas, so be prepared for a lot of outdoor sports and relaxing in front of fireplaces in a rustic atmosphere.
