Ski Experience - Tamarack Resort

Ski & Ride Guide

Skiers and riders can enjoy a 2,800 foot vertical drop, along with topographical features that create rolling cruisers with varying pitches, glades, cornices and steep mogul runs spread out over 900 skiable acres.  Tamarack offers 39 runs, designated 15% Beginner, 44% Intermediate, and 41% Advanced.   The longest Run spans 2 miles. The ski terrain is served by 6 lifts that includes no less than 2 high-speed quads. While expert skiers and riders head for the south bowls and cornices at the upper mountain, beginners and novices will stay near the base, in the Discovery learning area with a stellar ski school and progressive terrain park. Whatever the ability level, expect bottomless powder, excellent conditions, awesome groomers and wide open runs at each turn.

Après Ski

With the unique Tamarack offers dining options with delicious food and signature gourmet dishes. You'll find coffee bars, pubs and grills throughout the resort. Morels is an excellent 5-star dining experience with indoor and outdoor seating and a full service bar where guests can kick back at the end of the day. An on site spa provides a convenient oasis and rejuvenation with yoga, facials, massages and body treatments. More dining, shopping and other activities such as the Winter Festival can be found in the charming town of McCall's, a little more than 20 miles from the resort.

Family-Friendly Activities

Families seeking to add to their adventure can enjoy more of the outdoors on skate skis or snowshoes in the Lyle Nelson Nordic & Snowshoe Trail system. More than 15 miles of well groomed trails wind through meadows or towering forests with firs, pines, aspens and tamaracks. Families on the snow shoe trails can take their dogs with them. Trails begin in the Sports Dome at the Nordic Center where guests can get everything they need for their day out.  Snowmobiling is idyllic in designated areas or in open terrain for adventurers.
