This is the ideal place for family vacations because of the outdoor ski and snow sports activities. There are trails and features suitable for ever skier and rider level, from advanced to beginning and brand new. The resort is known for its many nooks and crannies and small hidden glades where skiers can find fresh, undisturbed powder even days after snowfall. In addition, the resort has Idaho’s largest indoor waterpark, Silver Rapids. This waterpark is as large as a football field and kept at a comfortable, warm temperature year round.

There are many great family-friendly places to stay. There are condominiums ideal for families and large groups. There are also many lodging choices from hotels to motels to private home rentals around the area. By staying at the resort you will enjoy things like a fitness center, common areas with cozy fireplaces, and high-speed Internet access, as well as access to the waterpark. Five outdoor fireplaces and a canteen offer fun and relaxation for residents of the Morning Star Lodge, while dozens of shops and stores offering shopping for both necessities and luxuries.  Take a nice gondola right through the resort while you are there. The gondola hangs low and moves over the homes in Wardner with spectacular views.

Silver Mountain Resort is conveniently located along I-90. It’s only an hour from Spokane, Washington, and less than two miles from the town of Kellogg, Idaho. Just take exit 49 (Bunker Avenue) off I-90 south 1/4 mile. It’s that easy.
