The resort is a grea place to learn to ski or snowboard with hundreds of trained professionals and a myriad of classes. The lessons offered at the resort are some of the best around. Children aged three and up can participate in the beginner classes to foster confidence while simultaneously promoting safety and enjoyment on the mountain. More advanced group and individual lessons are available, including some spectacular backcountry and avalanche safety clinics which equip skiers with the tools they need to competently maneuver through sometimes dangerous terrain.

Après Ski

Off the mountain guests can enjoy shopping, dining, ice skating, theatres, and a fantastic day spa. The village also has a variety of amenities including a post office, medical tent, lockers and storage and daycare services. Rider’s Guide

Snowboarders will be ecstatic to hear, that unlike neighboring Alta, Snowbird welcomes boarders with wide-open arms. They will no doubt be even more excited to learn that the resort houses some of the most challenging and exciting backcountry as well as a variety of groomed and natural terrain that is suitable for a wide variety of skill and ability levels. The mountain stats are staggering, 2,500 acres, 3,000+ feet of vertical, 80+ runs and enough lift capacity to handle more than 17,000 guests each hour. The resort also has night riding, cross-country skiing and miles of snowshoeing terrain available to explore.

Parks and Pipes

Accessed via the Wilbere, Mid-Gad or GadZoom chairs, the extensive terrain park has dozens of features such as rails, boxes, and jumps many of which are completely natural and suitable for all experience levels of rider or freestyle skier. There are tons of small features perfect for novices and younger riders all the way to larger, more extreme features that will delight even the most experienced terrain park rider.

Out of Bounds

The area offers plenty of diversions for visitors to engage in, be it ice skating, snowcat tours, snowmobiling, avalanche safety clinics, amateur races and competitions are just a few of the numerous outdoor activities on the mountain. The village at the base of the mountain offers great shopping, full-service ski and snowboard rentals and repairs, nightly film viewings, and great cafes and restaurants.

Hangout & Hookup

The action doesn’t slow after the sun has gone down at Snowbird. Guests have nearly a dozen après ski options, many boast fantastic happy hour specials on both food and drinks and offer live entertainment on the weekend. Sports lovers should head directly to the Tram Club, which offers its patrons billiards, foosball and video games as well as more than a dozen TV’s playing all the best sports matches.
