Solitude was once a local’s day ski area but has grown into a prominent ski and snowboard destination. Today, it has a cozy village, lodging, and an abundance of activities.

Only 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, the resort is a hidden gem among chic resorts. It offers visitors a chance to reconnect with nature amidst some of the most striking scenery in the country.
Guests can discover over 1,200 acres of world-class riding terrain, meticulously groomed runs, and three bowls including the pristine Honeycomb Canyon, as well as a family-friendly terrain park. Solitude has also made a vast amount of improvements in order to better suit the needs of guests. The Moonbeam Day Lodge, is a facility designed specifically to address the needs of day visitors. For fun and adventure, check out Back Tracks Guided Backcountry Tours, where seasoned ski patrollers take guests deep into the famous Utah backcountry. They will provide all the gear, including a tremendous lunch. Solitude has a family-friendly terrain park that invites all to play. Most features are snow-based (no steel structures) and they are a manageable size for all riders. The park is located in gentle terrain and is accessible from several lifts. Nordic skiing and snowshoeing are also available in the Village. The area has more than 10 miles of superbly groomed trails set for both classic and skating styles of Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Rentals, lessons, and light snacks are also available.

For lodging, discover the true meaning of ski-in, ski-out service, by reaching the chairlift in a few steps from your room. Nestled at the base of the mountain, The Inn offers deluxe rooms, kitchenettes, and suites. Guests will enjoy the Inn’s private pool, Essentials Spa, and on-site restaurant, St. Bernard’s.
