Jack Frost Big Boulder

Jack Frost Big Boulder are companion resorts only a few miles from one another. With roots dating as far back as the industrial age, these two ski resorts are replete with history and soul, and they have become two of the premiere resort destinations of northeastern Pennsylvania.

Sister Resorts in the Poconos

A winter retreat at Jack Frost Big Boulder promises to be brimming with activities, great snow, and fun for all ages. The excellent mountain terrain provides for plenty of winter fun for the entire family, including beginning to expert skiing and five terrain parks. There are several great learn-to-ski and snowboard programs hosted by the two resorts. They are all taught by PSIA-certified instructors and ages three to 93 are welcome to take lessons. There are private and group lessons, Snowmonsters for children aged three to 10, as well as adaptive lessons on the weekends. In addition, there are several great workshops for women and senior skiers. They also host the annual “Ski for the Cure,” which benefits breast cancer research.

There is so much to do in the Poconos, the scenic landscape is home to hiking, lakeside activities, snowtubing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice skating, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and much more. While Jack Frost Big Boulder is rather remote there is plenty of shopping at the Crossing Outlets in Tannersville, and dining options abound in and around the mountain. Lodging options are also plentiful, while there is no slope-side lodging available, there is an extensive array of accommodations, many of which have unbeatable ski and stay vacation packages throughout the winter. There are numerous resorts in the area, many of which boast large spacious rooms, full kitchens, and living spaces with all the modern comforts of home. There are also several budget choices in the area, including chain hotels and modest rooms at convenient locations in and around town. Additionally, there are great vacation rental homes available throughout the winter for those seeking more space, these homes range from rustic to chic and many contain unique architectural touches and the most modern appliances.

A vacation to Jack Frost Big Boulder in Pennsylvania is ideal, not just because of the diverse terrain, excellent snowmaking, grooming and fantastic night skiing, which of course doesn’t hurt.
