Brundage Mountain

Brundage Mountain, located two hours North of Boise in Idaho’s West Central Mountains, offers super-wide runs, crazy-deep powder glades, and 18,000 acres of guided snowcat skiing in the Payette National Forest.

‘The Best Snow in Idaho’

Blessed with more than 320 inches of snowfall on its base annually, Brundage ski area has an undisputed reputation for serving up “The Best Snow in Idaho.” Not only is the powder plentiful, but terrain options are also abundant. Ski Brundage and you’re in for a scenic adventure where you’ll take in fantastic views of not only the Lick Creek range but also Seven Devils, Wallowas, Payette National Forest, and the Salmon River.

From the ridiculously wide groomers to the snowfields way out in the Hidden Valley, you’ll see that the Brundage ski area satisfies the ski traveler’s greatest cravings to explore. Skiers can choose among more than 46 named trails or venture onto the endless snowfields and glades in the forest. While there are plenty of long groomed runs for beginners, guided snowcat skiing on more than 19,000 acres of secluded backcountry awaits the more experienced skier. There they will discover powder-filled chutes and massive bowls of untouched snow that are distinctively Brundage.

Brundage is a place to visit to experience what skiing used to be – with friendly people, no crowds, and affordable prices – a true getaway from the busyness of daily life.

Off the Slopes

Aside from downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snowcat skiing, there’s sledding, tubing, ice skating, and so much more to complete a fun-filled winter break. Brundage’s retro base lodge provides a down-to-earth respite. Less than 8 miles away is the charming mining and lumber town of McCall on Payette Lake, which offers shopping, pleasing dining and entertainment, and many ways to relax in the evenings. A handful of lodging options that range in price and accommodations are also available there.

Suppose the breathtaking scenery is what you seek. In that case, you can enjoy more of nature’s views of the Seven Devils towering over Hell’s Canyon, the deepest river gorge in the U.S. Nearby, the Salmon River Mountains are easily accessible, and Oregon’s Eagle Cap Wilderness and the many tours and adventures within them.
