4 Learn to Ski and Snowboard Lessons Packages in Utah for $45

During Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month in January, Ski Utah has coordinated $45 packages at various resorts throughout the state. Although limited for Utah residents only, the packages are packed with a lot of benefits at a price that is hard to beat. If you live in Utah and have always wanted to ski or ride, here are four resort offering packages that cover the basics to make learning to ski and snowboard fun and affordable.

The Learn to Ski Program at Alta offers new skiers up to four days of discounted lessons and rental packages for $45. Packages covers lessons and rentals. The program is available on Fri-Sun for the rest of the season as long as participants register by January 31. There is a $20 registration fee and some blackout dates. A beginner lift ticket can be purchased if one is needed, participant can receive a Copper Card after completing four days of lessons using the packages.

Deer Valley’s $45 offer for first-time locals is only available on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 9AM-12PM. Participants must be 13 years or older with a current Utah Driver’s license or state ID, and parent consent if under the age of 18. The package includes a lesson, lift ticket, rentals, storage and helmet.

Snowbasin’s package of a $45 lesson, lift ticket and rentals is good on Jan 23rd for beginners ages 13 and older. In order to receive the special package rate, participants must register at least seven days in advance by calling 801-620-1015 and mentioning the Ski Utah Learn to Ski/Ride Program.

Solitude’s $45 offer is valid Jan. 5-31, and excludes 1/9, 1/16-19, 1/23 and 1/30. Although this program has more limitations, it is one of the few that includes younger participants, and is well worth the price. Skiers ages 5 and up and snowboarders age 8 and up can enroll in an afternoon group lesson with afternoons rentals available after 12:15 PM.

Although different rules apply at the resorts, advanced registration is required with most of these packages and they sell out quickly, so be sure to check each resort’s website for full details and any restrictions that may apply.
